She travelled to the very beginning, she saw the tiny spark that became the Universe unfold.
She travelled to the very end and saw the last light in the Universe die.
She saw birth and death of stars, she saw civilisations rise and turn to ash.
She watched galaxies devour each other, tangled in the web of slow death.
She watched the ash of a dead star coalesce and ignite.
She saw it all, twice.
Yet she could only see, and longed to be shackled by time again, longed for the mortal shell she cast off recklessly, and she wept.
